Learning a LOT

Thank you very much to Jen and Lori (and Lori's RD) for great advice. Your persistance with all the healthy organic stuff* is working on me. But I still haven't been shopping to stock up on good food yet, so here's what I ate today:

Breakfast:
Cinnamin oatmeal with water
Diet cranberry juice (no corn syrup, just Splenda)

Lunch:
grilled chicken sandwich on whole wheat roll with lettuce, tomato, and a little honey musturd
small salad with low fat french dressing
diet coke (I know I know, I'm addicted!)

Mid-afternoon snack:
small handful of mixed nuts
8 oz coffee

Dinner:
small lean pork chop, marinated and grilled (YUM)
lightly buttered sugar snap peas (possibly my fave veggie)
potatoes au gratin (not the best choice, but it was a very small serving)
water water water

Workout:
10 minutes running
10 minutes powerwalking uphill
20 minutes biking

Nightime snack (I was pretty hungry!)
4 tbsp salsa
1 oz tortilla chips

    this is a lot better than the previous few days. only 8 oz of coffee and far less soda. that's good!

    let me know when you're going shopping. i'll go with you and help you make switches with things. honestly, it's about switching or trades and not about 'total change' or what have you. :)

    i won't share my feelings on splenda either. :)

    my shoulders feel awesome, not sore at all, just nice and loose...they were sore during class, mostly on one side, I think because I had been weightlifting the night before and one shoulder felt like it had a small pull in the muscle or something...fine now though

    Have you tried stevia? I'm about to take the plunge and get off Splenda with it. My friend told me it comes in liquid form, so I'm going to try it and see. I'll let you know how it tastes...
